Indian Lake (3-2) 40, Bellefontaine (1-4) 0
Indian Lake improved to 3-2 with a dominant 40-0 win over Bellefontaine Friday night, dropping the Chieftains to 1-4.
The Lakers jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter. Brady Golldiay connected with Brodey Reisinger on an 18-yard touchdown pass before Jordan Henderson added a 29-yard touchdown run.
Indian Lake added another touchdown late in the second quarter when Golldiay found Braden Tussing for a 54-yard score, giving the Lakers a 19-0 halftime lead.
The Lakers continued to pull away in the third quarter. Golldiay and Reisinger connected again, this time for a 57-yard touchdown, with Reisinger adding the two-point conversion. Reisinger then scored his second touchdown of the night on a four-yard run to make it 33-0.
Midway through the third quarter, Bellefontaine quarterback Sutton Daring took a big hit and left the game. He did not return, continuing a string of injuries at the quarterback position for the Chieftains.
Golldiay capped the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 17-yard touchdown run.
Bellefontaine has now gone nine consecutive quarters without scoring.
Golldiay finished 11-of-19 passing for 250 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Reisinger led the Lakers with 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns on five catches. Tussing added 65 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Henderson led Indian Lake on the ground with 118 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
Indian Lake’s defense held Bellefontaine to just 106 total yards and recorded five tackles for loss. Aaron Rapp led the Lakers with three tackles and three tackles for loss.
The Lakers totaled 465 yards of offense and controlled the game from start to finish, securing their third win of the season with the 40-0 shutout.

Cedarville (2-3) 28, Triad (2-3) 27
Cedarville completed a second-half comeback Friday night, rallying past Triad 28-27 in a wild finish.
Triad built a lead early, but Cedarville scored 16 unanswered points to take control in the second half.
The Cardinals eventually answered with a touchdown to pull within one, but the extra point was missed, keeping Cedarville ahead 28-27.
Triad still had one more chance to win the game. The Cardinals put together another late drive, but Cedarville’s defense came up with a stop to complete the comeback.
Triad was led offensively by quarterback Blayk Thomas, who threw for 147 yards and three touchdowns. Wyatt Smith had 130 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dawson Hess added 85 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Cardinals.

Benjamin Logan (3-2) 35, Tecumseh (1-4) 6
Benjamin Logan improved to 3-2 with a 35-6 win over Tecumseh Friday night, dropping the Arrows to 1-4 on the season.
The Raiders led 14-6 at halftime in a close game through the first three quarters.
Tecumseh controlled nearly the entire third quarter, taking the opening kickoff and putting together a long drive that eventually reached the Benjamin Logan goal line.
The Raiders’ defense came up with a huge stop on the first play of the fourth quarter, keeping the Arrows out of the end zone and preserving the 14-6 lead.
That stop sparked the Raiders’ offense.
Benjamin Logan scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to pull away and secure its third win of the season.
Other Local Games
Graham (4-1) 10, London (3-2) 7
Graham pulled off a massive upset Friday night, knocking off London 10-7 in St. Paris.
The Falcons, now 4-1, opened the scoring with a long drive that ended in a field goal with 2:44 left in the first quarter.
London answered with a long scoring drive to take a 7-3 lead, and the Red Raiders carried that advantage into halftime.
Graham came out of the second half with another long drive, finally finding the end zone with 1:54 remaining in the third quarter to regain the lead at 10-7.
From there, the Falcons’ defense held strong, keeping London off the scoreboard the rest of the way and securing the 10-7 upset victory.
Urbana (4-1) 34, North Union (3-2) 33
Urbana pulled off a wild comeback Friday night, edging North Union 34-33 in a back-and-forth battle.
The Hillclimbers improved to 4-1 on the season, while North Union dropped to 3-2.
Urbana trailed by 11 points with just four minutes remaining, but the Hillclimbers rallied late and scored enough to take the lead by a single point.
North Union had a chance to answer, but Urbana held on for the 34-33 victory in a thrilling finish.
Riverside (4-1) 27, Covington (2-3) 17
Riverside improved to 4-1 with a 27-17 win over Covington Friday night, dropping the Buccaneers to 2-3 on the season.
The Pirates won the game without attempting a single pass, relying entirely on their ground game to overcome an early 10-point deficit.
Covington jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Jordan Miller scored on a 58-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage, before Covington added a 37-yard field goal.
Riverside answered with 14 points in the second quarter. Gunner Carpenter scored twice, including a one-yard touchdown run and a six-yard touchdown run, as the Pirates took a 14-10 lead into halftime.
Riverside continued to lean on the run in the third quarter. Dylan Trimble scored on a 13-yard touchdown run, extending the Pirates’ lead to 20-10.
Covington had a chance to respond after a big reception by Filip McMaken put the Buccaneers inside the Riverside 5-yard line, but the Pirates’ defense came up with a key stop and forced a turnover late in the third quarter.
Riverside then put together an 11-minute, clock-draining drive that included three fourth-down conversions. Carpenter capped the possession with a 10-yard touchdown run, his third score of the night, giving the Pirates a 27-10 advantage.
Covington added a late touchdown with just under two minutes remaining, but Riverside held on for the 27-17 victory.
Carpenter was the workhorse for the Pirates, rushing 28 times for 199 yards and three touchdowns. Justin Mazariegos added 96 yards on 15 carries, while Trimble rushed 21 times for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Riverside’s defense was led by Brody Orsborne, who recorded four tackles and two interceptions. Gabe Steineman added eight total tackles, while Cruz Parker finished with six.
The Pirates’ run-heavy attack produced 365 rushing yards, and Riverside never needed to put the ball in the air.
The win moves Riverside to 4-1 and into first place in the Three Rivers Conference. The Pirates now control their own destiny in the TRC.
Riverside will look to keep that momentum going next week when the Pirates travel to Bethel to take on the Bees.
West Liberty-Salem (2-2) 47, Greenon (3-2) 13
West Liberty-Salem improved to 2-2 with a 47-13 win over Greenon Friday night, with the Tigers’ special teams providing three kickoff return touchdowns.
Sam Kidd got things started on the opening kickoff, taking it 89 yards for a touchdown and giving West Liberty-Salem an early 7-0 lead.
Zade Bieleski added a two-yard touchdown run later in the first quarter, before Beckett Sullivan connected with Josiah Johnson on an eight-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to make it 21-0 at halftime.
Greenon got on the board early in the third quarter when Teagan Henry found Brayden Cloud for an eight-yard touchdown pass.
Kidd answered right back, taking the ensuing kickoff 85 yards for his second touchdown return of the night.
West Liberty-Salem continued to pull away as Beckett Sullivan scored on a one-yard touchdown run. Brandel Sullivan then added another huge special teams play, returning a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown to give the Tigers three kickoff return touchdowns on the night.
Silas Krabill capped the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 36-yard touchdown run.
Krabill led the Tigers‘ ground game with 127 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Bieleski added 99 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
Beckett Sullivan completed 9-of-15 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown. Josiah Johnson led the Tigers with three catches for 36 yards and a touchdown.
Kidd finished with 174 kickoff return yards and two touchdowns, while Brandel Sullivan added 80 return yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Casey Boyer led West Liberty-Salem with seven tackles. Josiah Johnson and Aiden Hall each recorded five tackles, while Liam Barger had an interception.
