Here are all the scores and highlights from the first week of high school football.
107.3 The Drive Game of the Week
Bellefontaine (1-0) 35, Sidney (0-1) 14
Bellefontaine overcame a slow start and a halftime tie to pull away from Sidney, 35-14, extending the Chiefs’ winning streak over the Yellow Jackets to seven straight games.

Both teams went three-and-out on their opening possessions, and Bellefontaine’s second drive ended with a missed 33-yard field goal. Sidney then put together a long 15-play drive that carried into the second quarter. The Yellow Jackets ran the ball 12 times on the possession before quarterback Andrew Lundy connected with Davis Burks for a nine-yard touchdown to make it 7-0.
The Chiefs answered after Sutton Daring stepped in front of a Sidney receiver for an interception at midfield. Bellefontaine quickly moved into the red zone, helped by a facemask penalty, and quarterback Loomis found Aven Caudill for a nine-yard touchdown pass to tie the game.
Bellefontaine had another opportunity before halftime, reaching the Sidney nine-yard line, but the Chiefs could not convert on third or fourth down, sending the teams into the break tied at 7.
Sidney took the lead immediately after halftime when Ashton Herron returned the kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. Bellefontaine responded with a 28-yard touchdown run from Bryant Carter, tying the game at 14.
The Chiefs then took control. After forcing a three-and-out, Loomis used several big runs to move the offense down the field before connecting with Dillon Jones on a three-yard touchdown pass for Bellefontaine’s first lead.
Special teams provided another huge play when Terrance Hayes broke through to block a Sidney punt. Hayes recovered the ball and returned it 32 yards for a touchdown, putting the Chiefs ahead 28-14.
Sidney threatened late in the third quarter, reaching the Bellefontaine seven-yard line, but Aven Caudill came up with an interception to end the threat.
Bellefontaine then put the game away with a methodical drive, capped by Loomis scoring on a one-yard quarterback keeper on fourth-and-goal.
Loomis completed 17 of 24 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 12 times for 81 yards and a touchdown. Carter added 107 yards on 18 carries. Jones led the receiving corps with nine catches for 61 yards, while Daring had seven receptions for 56 yards.
Caudill caught one pass for nine yards, CJ Butler added an 11-yard reception, and Hayes had one catch for eight yards.

98.3 WPKO Game of the Week
Bluffton (1-0) 42, Benjamin Logan (0-1) 28
Benjamin Logan battled back from a 28-0 deficit, but Bluffton pulled away late to hand the Raiders a 42-28 loss.
The Pirates jumped out to a four-touchdown lead before Benjamin Logan found its rhythm. Alex Hassel scored on a one-yard run late in the second quarter, and Adam Tinsman connected with Jordan Pender on a 33-yard touchdown pass just before halftime to make it 28-14.
The Raiders continued their comeback in the third quarter when Diesel Baughman broke loose for a 75-yard touchdown run, cutting the deficit to 28-21. Bluffton answered with a score, then added another in the fourth quarter before Tinsman and Pender connected again, this time for 48 yards.
Benjamin Logan finished with 400 yards of total offense, including 187 rushing and 213 passing. Tinsman completed 14 of 20 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns. Pender caught three passes for 79 yards and two scores.
Baughman led the rushing attack with 84 net yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.
Defensively, Carter Fay had an interception, Baughman recorded a sack, and Owen Weaks and Nate Mitchell each had a tackle for loss.
Bluffton finished with 423 total yards, just 23 more than the Raiders.

106.9 The Bull Game of the Week
Graham (1-0) 34, Kenton Ridge (0-1) 24
The Hoke brothers combined for over 350 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns to chew up the ground and lift the Falcons over the Cougars.

Indian Lake (1-0) 54, Bath (0-1) 43
Indian Lake got its revenge on Lima Bath Friday night, beating the Wildcats 54-43 after Bath handed the Lakers a loss in the season opener last year.
The Lakers jumped out to a 20-7 lead in the first quarter and continued to trade scores with Lima Bath in a high-scoring game.
Brady Golldiay had a huge night for Indian Lake. He completed 18 of 24 passes for 265 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 162 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries. Golldiay accounted for 427 yards of total offense and seven of the eight Laker touchdowns.
Braden Tussing caught four passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns, including a 66-yard scoring reception. Brodey Reisinger added five catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
Dawson Stevenson rushed 20 times for 149 yards and added 33 receiving yards, finishing with 182 total yards. Jordan Henderson scored on a 27-yard touchdown run.
Indian Lake finished with 603 total yards, including 338 on the ground and 265 through the air. The Lakers controlled the clock, holding the ball for more than 31 minutes.
Lima Bath put up 528 yards of offense, but Indian Lake’s offense kept answering every challenge.
Other Local Games
Jonathan Alder (1-0) 41, West Liberty-Salem (0-1) 10
Jonathan Alder scored 34 points in the first half and went on to beat West Liberty-Salem, 41-10.
The Tigers got on the board first when Tucker Searles connected on a 30-yard field goal early in the opening quarter. Jonathan Alder answered with five straight touchdowns, taking a 34-3 lead into halftime.
West Liberty-Salem finished with 213 total yards, including 112 on the ground and 89 through the air.
Beckett Sullivan completed 8 of 16 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 36 yards on nine carries. Silas Krabill led the Tigers with 47 net rushing yards on eight carries, while Zade Bieleski added 29 yards on seven attempts.
Sullivan’s lone touchdown pass came with less than a minute remaining, connecting with Grant Krabill for a 10-yard score. Searles added the extra point.
Defensively, Bradel Sullivan led the Tigers with six tackles. Aiden Hall recorded four tackles, a sack and two tackles for loss, while Bayes Lapp added four tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss.
