Firefighters from multiple departments battled a barn fire in Champaign County on Saturday morning.
Crews were called around 11:30 a.m. to the 4300 block of Kite Road on reports of a structure fire. Emergency scanner traffic indicated the barn was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
The dispatcher confirmed that animals were inside the barn at the time of the fire. However, no injuries have been reported, and officials said no nearby buildings were at risk of catching fire.
Mutual aid was requested, with departments from St. Paris, Christiansburg, and Pike Township assisting at the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
