A hot summer day turned into a great memory for Safety Town students Wednesday thanks to a helping hand from the Bellefontaine Fire Department.
As temperatures climbed throughout the morning, Safety Town organizers noticed students were beginning to feel the effects of the heat.
They reached out to the Bellefontaine Fire Department, which quickly responded to help cool everyone down.
Firefighters brought plenty of excitement along with much-needed relief, giving students a chance to beat the heat and enjoy some fun water activities.
The result was plenty of smiles, laughter, and excitement from the youngsters.
The visit also highlighted the strong partnership between local public safety agencies and community programs like Safety Town.
Safety Town teaches young children important safety skills while introducing them to the first responders who serve their community.
