Ruby Slemmons is the daughter of Aaron and Nikki Slemmons.
School Activities & Awards:
- Volleyball, track and field, worship band, NHS, FCA, Key Club, Spartan group leader, teacher’s aide, volleyball team captain, volleyball 1st team All-Star, honor roll.
Favorite School Memory:
- The 8th-grade YLA trip to Columbus.
People Who Have Been an Inspiration to Me:
- My parents, my brother Clayton, my sister Audrey, and my papaw Frank.
Lately, I have been reading:
- The Players’ Plate by Emily Cole.
My advice to parents:
- Don’t buy your children everything. Make them work hard for things they want.
My favorite Scripture verse:
- Romans 1:16- For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
What I will be doing after high school:
- I will be attending Rhodes State to pursue pediatric dental hygiene.
What I am looking forward to most after high school:
- Finally becoming a pediatric dental hygienist because I have wanted to do that since I was a little girl.
What I will miss the most:
- Seeing my best friend Maddie every day.

- Teach your kids good habits when they’re young because we all stop listening to our parents at 14.

- Going to College, hopefully, at The Ohio State University
What I am looking forward to most after high school:
- The relief of freedom.
What I will miss the most:
- The teachers, hanging with friends, and specifically my calculus class.
