A Champaign County man is facing multiple charges following a reported domestic disturbance Friday.
According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched on Friday, July 24, 2026, to investigate a report of a physical domestic dispute at a residence in the county.
After arriving on the scene, deputies spoke with those involved and investigated the incident. At the conclusion of that investigation, Damien Wallace, 30, was taken into custody.
Wallace was charged with domestic violence, assault, and using a weapon while intoxicated. Authorities did not release additional information about what led to the charges.
Following his arrest, Wallace was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail, where he was booked on the charges.
Court records show Wallace is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Champaign County Municipal Court on Tuesday, August 11.
