CHWP opens School-Based Health Center at Graham

On Thursday afternoon, Community Health and Wellness Partners (CHWP) celebrated the opening of their fifth School-Based Health Center at Graham Elementary.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured speeches from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Congressman Jim Jordan, and State Representative Tim Barhorst.

Tara Bair, President/Chief Executive Officer of Community Health and Wellness Partners, comments on the Health Center:

The new Health Center is the result of a collaboration between CHWP and Graham Local Schools, bringing important health services to the school.

This initiative aims to provide students with the care they need to stay healthy and succeed in school, ensuring they have access to healthcare that supports both their well-being and education.

The center offers a consistent way for students to access medical care, leading to better health outcomes, increased health knowledge, and improved educational results, such as fewer absences and higher graduation rates.

The center will offer a range of services for students, their immediate family members, and school staff, including:

  • Preventive care such as physical exams and immunizations
  • Care for illnesses like colds and flu
  • Mental health services and support
  • Chronic disease management
