The Downtown Bellefontaine Partnership is working to keep downtown Bellefontaine busy, welcoming, and full of life.

The nonprofit organization supports local businesses, brings people together, and helps make downtown a place where residents and visitors want to spend time.

Through its Downtown Days events, the partnership gives people more reasons to visit downtown, shop at local stores, eat at local restaurants, and enjoy time with family and friends.

The organization also works to preserve downtown’s historic charm and support the local economy.

The partnership is led by a board of local business owners, community leaders, and representatives from area organizations.

Jessica Simmons serves as board president, and Nick Davis serves as vice president.

Other board members include Ron Troyer of Roundhouse Brewing, Keyne Strickland of Small Nation, and Davianna Rumer of Relax Nail Bar and Salon and Miller and Rumer Associates.

The board also includes Ben Vollrath of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, Bellefontaine Service-Safety Director Wes Dodds, Kris Swisher and Lance Schmidt of the Holland Theatre, Niki Ropp of Citizens Federal, Lori Newman of Legacy Property Group, Taylor Allison of Mary Rutan Hospital, Kevin Greenwald of First Christian Church, Brittany Saxton of 600 Downtown, Nicole Martin of Richwood Bank, Andrea Wrocklage of Hi-Point Business Solutions, and Logan County Commissioner Greg Fitzpatrick.

The partnership welcomes individuals, businesses, and organizations that support its mission. Members pay annual dues to help support the organization and its work.

Jessica Simmons, Olivia Covey, and Nick Davis joined News Director April King on 98.3 WPKO’s show Listen Up! Sunday morning:

Membership fees that the DBP collects go straight back into the events hosted in downtown Bellefontaine.

That money helps pay for activities that bring people downtown, support local businesses, and give the community more opportunities to come together.

The partnership also encourages its members to treat customers and other businesses fairly, act honestly, and work together to make downtown a better place.

Local businesses play an important role in making these efforts possible.

The partnership recognizes members at platinum, gold, and silver levels.

One of downtown Bellefontaine’s biggest community events of the year is the Hometown Christmas Parade, scheduled for Friday, December 4, from 4 to 8 p.m.

The festivities begin at 4 p.m., with the parade starting at 6 p.m.

Downtown Bellefontaine will be packed with holiday cheer, featuring food trucks, games, entertainment, shopping at local stores, and a festive light show.

The event brings families, friends, and visitors together to celebrate the Christmas season while giving local businesses a chance to welcome more customers.

The partnership is looking for community members and businesses to help make its events successful.

People can volunteer their time, businesses can become sponsors, and food trucks and vendors can apply to take part in upcoming events.
