Friday afternoon, Bellefontaine Police were dispatched to Ludlow Road where two intoxicated pedestrians were reported to be near Stonebridge Boulevard.
Officers found the couple, later identified as John Tracy II, 53, of Bellefontaine, and Catrina Criner, 21, of Bellefontaine, stumbling on the sidewalk.
Tracy had a brown paper bag in his hand that contained a bottle of open liquor.
The couple told officers that they were headed home from Kroger.
Tracy and Criner were told they needed to have someone come pick them up because they were so heavily intoxicated.
The couple was ultimately arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Tracy was also charged with open container.
Once at the jail, Criner had a medical condition arise and was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment.
