Bellefontaine fire crews were called to RD Holder, located at 706 West Sandusky Avenue, just before 6 AM Tuesday after reports of smoke and flames coming from the building.
According to Assistant Chief Alexander, an employee had started a 4,000-gallon fuel truck in preparation for leaving for the day when they noticed smoke coming from the engine/cab area of the truck.
Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after the call and worked to contain the situation.
In response to the incident, Sandusky Avenue was temporarily closed while the blaze was being extinguished.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the fire is still under investigation.
