Addison Hutton and Lance Campbell are the Seniors of the Month at West Liberty-Salem High School.
Addison Hutton is the daughter of Lisa and Mike Carter.
School Activities and Awards: Volleyball, Track, Golf, National Honor Society, FFA Secretary, Drama Club, Musical, Book Club, Student Council, Academic Excellence Award.
If I were principal for a day: I would bring back recess for every grade.
Favorite school memory: My favorite school memory was when our football team made a far playoff run, because I loved going to the games and the student section.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents and my sisters.
Because: For how hard they work to give me all the opportunities possible, as well as my sisters for always being able to see the good in any situation.
Lately, I have been reading: The first Twilight book.
My advice to parents: Always be there for your kids and support them in everything they do. It means a lot when people are there for you no matter what you are doing.
My biggest regret: Not joining things earlier, like golf and musical.
Next year I will be: Attending the University of Kentucky, majoring in Pharmacy.
Lance Campbell is the son of Tina and Rick Campbell.
School Activities and Awards: Marching Band, Soccer (OHC First Team, District 2nd Team), Calculus Club, Physics Club.
If I were principal for a day: I would stroll around the halls like Dr. Johnson because the highlight of being a principal is seeing everyone’s face.
Favorite school memory: Winning the Design Challenge senior year.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: Mr. Waibel.
Because: He encourages diversity and leadership.
Lately, I have been reading: Talk Like TED: The 9 Public Speaking Secrets of the World’s Top Minds.
My advice to parents: You’re there to guide your kids. Don’t live vicariously through them.
My biggest regret: Not playing baseball.
Next year I will be: At Wright State pursuing Mechanical Engineering.
