The Indian Lake Board of Education received an optimistic financial outlook and welcomed a generous donation during their regular meeting Monday night.
District Treasurer Coleen Reprogle presented the annual five-year financial forecast, which Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood highlighted as a testament to Reprogle’s foresight and dedication.

In addition to the financial update, the board heard from members of the Indian Lake Music Boosters, who presented a generous $15,000 donation to the district’s Music Department.
The funds will be used to purchase new band uniforms, replacing the current set, which are nearly 15 years old.
Board member Scott Staley also shared insights from a recent social-emotional learning (SEL) conference he attended.
Staley expressed his hope to bring SEL training and techniques to Indian Lake’s staff, aiming to enhance the social and emotional well-being of both students and educators.
The board also accepted the retirement of elementary reading teacher Elaine Jacobs, who plans to retire at the end of the year after 33 years of service to Indian Lake Schools.
