There’s nothing quite like the 1950’s drive-in diner experience. The music, the uniforms, the service provided & the food is all nostalgic at the Indian Lake Root Beer Stand.
Located on State Route 366 in Russells Point, this diner is sure to please with its Angus hotdogs, classic milkshakes, and of course, onion rings, you can’t forget the root beer. And that’s just the start of what they have to offer on their menu.
James Buffington, Root Beer Stand Owner, says that they are only serving top-of-the-line products, from the napkins clear to the all-white meat chicken chunks. They make their own coney sauce for their coney dogs and even some special sauces you will find featured on many of their burgers. Buffington gives complete details:
Arps Farm in Ohio supplies the eatery with soft-serve ice cream on a weekly rotating basis. While many popular flavors will remain, the specialty ones will change from week to week. Speaking of ice cream, wait until you try the huge Banana Split. You better grab a friend!
The root beer selection includes both fountain and bottled and of course, it comes in diet as well. Stewarts & Frost Top is just a few of the brands carried.
A soon-to-open, revitalized 18-hole Putt Putt golf course and in the fall added batting cages are something you can also enjoy onsite.
Bellhops will be available when you pull into the Root Beer Stand, as well as at the putt-putt and batting cages. There is also a walk-up window for those who may have walked to the stand.
You can stop Mondays for lunch only from 11 AM to 3 PM, Tuesdays for dinner only from 3 PM to 8 PM, and Wednesdays – Sundays from 11 AM to 8 PM.
