Judge Braig Finds Spatz Not Guilty

Judge Kevin P. Braig of the Logan County Court of Common Pleas General Division today found Joel E. Spatz of Miamisburg not guilty on the charge of domestic violence, a felony of the fourth degree.

The State of Ohio alleged Spatz committed domestic violence against his father during an argument about an apartment.

The evidence showed that both Spatz and his father engaged in some pushing and shoving during the argument.

Spatz’s father admitted that he suffered no physical injuries.

The law enforcement officer who responded to a 911 call from Spatz’s mother also testified that Spatz’s father suffered no physical injuries.

The State was represented by Logan County Assistant Prosecutor Stacia Rapp.

Spatz was represented by defense counsel John Cunningham of Dayton, Ohio.
