The Logan County Metropolitan Housing Authority has appointed Joshua Jones as its new Interim Executive Director.
Jones will assume the role while longtime Executive Director Gail Clark is on medical leave due to illness.
Clark has served the housing authority for 40 years, helping oversee housing programs and services for residents throughout Logan County.
Commissioners voted in favor of the appointment Thursday morning, noting that Jones will lead the agency’s day-to-day operations during Clark’s absence and help ensure continued services for tenants and program participants.

Bridget Hawkins, Chair of the Logan County Metropolitan Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, said Clark leaves behind a tremendous legacy and acknowledged that Jones has “big shoes to fill.”
However, Hawkins said she is confident in Jones’ ability to lead the organization and continue its mission during Clark’s absence.
Jones said he has been preparing for a situation like this throughout his career and believes his experience and background make him well-suited for the position.
He said the training and knowledge he has gained working within the organization have helped prepare him to step into the leadership role when needed.
Logan County Metropolitan Housing Authority Commissioner, Bart Pattison, talks about Clark and his impact:
The housing authority has not indicated how long Clark’s leave is expected to last.
Board members and staff expressed their support for Clark and wished him a speedy recovery as Jones takes over interim leadership responsibilities.
