A Springfield man suffered minor injuries Saturday night after his motorcycle struck a deer in Urbana.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers from the Springfield Post responded at approximately 9:41 p.m. to a single-vehicle injury crash involving a motorcycle and a deer on Middle Urbana Road, just south of Roger Drive.
The preliminary investigation found that Brent Miles, 66, of Springfield, was traveling south on Middle Urbana Road on a 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide when he struck a deer that entered the roadway.
Emergency responders reported Miles was conscious and talking when they arrived. He suffered a head injury after being thrown onto the roadway and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Health – Urbana Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Springfield Post.
