Ohio Hi-Point Career Center is preparing for the start of the 2026-27 school year with a record number of students, a back-to-school orientation, and the continuation of free lunches for all campus students.
More than 750 students are expected to attend Ohio Hi-Point this fall, the highest enrollment in school history.
To help students get ready for the new school year, Ohio Hi-Point will host Student Orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 12, from noon to 5 p.m. Families are encouraged to attend during their assigned time based on the student’s last name:
- A-J: Noon-2:30 p.m.
- K-Z: 2:30-5 p.m.
During orientation, students will receive their class schedules, laptops and uniforms. Student drivers can also register for parking permits by bringing a driver’s license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
The school nurse will be available to discuss medical needs, and counselors will be on hand to answer questions about schedules and classes.
Before attending orientation, all students and families must complete Ohio Hi-Point FinalForms, which are separate from the forms completed through a student’s partner school.
Ohio Hi-Point will again use a staggered start to the school year. First-year students will begin classes on Wednesday, Aug. 19, while all students will attend beginning Thursday, Aug. 20. The school day runs from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Bus transportation is coordinated through each student’s partner school. Families with questions about routes or pickup times should contact their local school district.
Students and parents are also encouraged to stay connected through StudentSquare and ParentSquare for school news and updates throughout the year.
In addition to preparing for the new school year, Ohio Hi-Point students will once again receive free lunches after the Board of Education unanimously approved funding for the program for the 2026-27 school year.

School officials said the program helps reduce costs for families while ensuring students have access to healthy meals each school day.
