Anita Ricketts, Principal Broker, Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, has been awarded as this year’s Mary Pollock Lifetime Achievement Award recipient by the Midwestern Ohio Association of REALTORS®. This award is presented to a REALTOR® member who represents the outstanding attributes of the REALTOR® profession over the course of their career. The award recognizes REALTORS® who have made a real commitment to the real estate industry and who have been licensed real estate agents for at least 20 years.
Anita’s real estate career consists of 41 years of setting and reaching goals and accomplishments. In the beginning, like most new REALTORS®, she learned how to work hard and persevere to serve her clients well through difficult markets.
After many sales awards and leadership roles, she obtained her broker’s license and started her own company. Being mindful of the changes in the real estate world and having the heart and soul to continue with a career she loved; Anita not only continued in sales, and added responsibilities as a broker, but also began to teach and train new agents.
Anita has a GRI designation from the National Association of Realtors and has served on numerous committees at the state and local level of the REALTOR® association; including involvement in Ohio Realtors’ Professional Development, Legal Issues, and MLS committees. She also served several terms and was President of the WRIST MLS Board of Directors, and was named the Midwestern Ohio Association of REALTORS® distinguished REALTOR® of the Year in 2017.
Additionally, Anita currently serves on the Columbus REALTORS® MLS Board of Directors as Vice Chair and incoming Chair for 2023. She also currently serves on the Columbus REALTORS® Broker Advisory Council and on the West Central Association of REALTORS® MLS Committee as well.
There are many adjectives that this individual’s peers would use to describe her. Loyal, strong, slow to anger, protective, fair, thoughtful, and kind. These character traits have allowed her to succeed in many facets of life and to be steady and sure in her accomplished real estate career.
Midwestern Ohio REALTORS would like to congratulate Anita Ricketts on receiving this year’s Mary Pollock Lifetime Achievement Award.
