Second Harvest announces May food distribution schedule

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Champaign, Clark, and Logan Counties has released its May 2026 pantry and mobile distribution schedules, offering several ways for residents to access food assistance throughout the month.

In Champaign County, partner pantries will operate regularly at locations like Caring Kitchen, the Champaign County Senior Center, and Stepping Stones, along with additional sites in Urbana, North Lewisburg, Mechanicsburg, and St. Paris. Some locations may require appointments, so residents should check ahead.

In Logan County, food assistance is available at sites including St. Vincent de Paul in Bellefontaine and Russells Point, United Christian Services, Caring Neighbors, Give + Take, Five Loaves, Buckeye Gospel Barn, and Wake Up the World Ministries.

In addition to those locations, Second Harvest will host several mobile food distributions across both counties.

In Champaign County, distributions are scheduled for:

  • Wednesday, May 13 — Triad High School in Woodstock, 4 to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, May 15 — Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana, 10 to 11 a.m.
  • Monday, May 18 — St. Paris Firehouse, 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 19 — Woodstock Free Will Baptist Church, 4 to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 28 — St. Michael’s Church in Mechanicsburg, 4 to 5 p.m.

In Logan County, distributions include:

  • Tuesday, May 5 — Eagles Annex Building in Lakeview, 11 a.m. to noon
  • Wednesday, May 6 — Lion’s Club Ball Park in West Liberty, noon to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 12 — Richland Township Park in Belle Center, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Wednesday, May 20 — Lion’s Club Ball Park in West Liberty, noon to 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, May 21 — Rushsylvania Church of Christ, 11 a.m. to noon
  • Tuesday, May 26 — St. Vincent de Paul in Russells Point, 11 a.m. to noon
  • Wednesday, May 27 — Community Health and Wellness in Bellefontaine, noon to 1 p.m.

All mobile distributions are drive-thru events, and residents are encouraged to arrive early while supplies last.

Schedules may change, and events could be canceled due to severe weather.

There will be no distributions on Memorial Day, May 25.
