Severe weather that forced the postponement of the original event has led Second Harvest Food Bank to announce a new date and location for its Champaign County Summer Food Distribution.
The food distribution will now take place Saturday, July 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Urbana Elementary & Junior High School parking lot, located at 1673 U.S. 68 South in Urbana.
The event is designed to help Champaign County residents fill their summer pantries with essential groceries.
All Champaign County residents in need of food assistance are encouraged to attend.
Guests should bring a valid photo ID.
Anyone in line by 1:00 p.m. will receive food.
Organizers also ask attendees not to line up before 9:00 a.m.
The distribution is hosted by Second Harvest Food Bank of Champaign, Clark and Logan Counties.
