Update: Single-vehicle crash reported on U.S. 68 early Friday

A Kenton man was cited after a one-vehicle rollover crash early Friday morning north of Bellefontaine.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Blake Davis was driving a 2005 Ford Focus southbound when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway.

The car hit two mailboxes and a driveway culvert before overturning and striking a utility pole.

The vehicle came to rest after the collision.

Davis told deputies the vehicle had recently been purchased, and it was uninsured.

He was not injured in the crash.

Deputies cited Davis for failure to control.

The vehicle was heavily damaged and towed from the scene.

Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 68 North early Friday morning.

According to Huntsville Fire & EMS, crews were dispatched at 12:49 a.m. after an iPhone crash detection alert reported a possible motor vehicle accident in the 4900 block of U.S. 68 North.

Crews arrived on scene and found a single vehicle involved in the crash with the occupant already out of the vehicle.

Emergency personnel evaluated the driver at the scene, but the individual declined further medical treatment.

Shafer’s Towing responded to remove and secure the vehicle.

The Logan County Electric Cooperative was also called to the scene to assess and address any issues involving power lines.

Responding agencies included Huntsville Fire & EMS, BMRT Ambulance District, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Shafer’s Towing, and Logan County Electric Cooperative.

Additional details about the crash were not immediately available.

More information is expected to be released Monday following the Juneteenth holiday.
