Soybean Field Fire in Northeast Champaign County Contained

A fire in a soybean field in northeast Champaign County was successfully brought under control Thursday afternoon, thanks to the combined efforts of local fire departments and farmers. The blaze was captured in aerial photographs taken by Ohio Ag Net’s drone.

According to reports, the fire broke out in the early afternoon and quickly spread due to the windy conditions. Despite the intensity of the flames, no injuries have been reported, and machinery on the field remains undamaged.

Firefighters from nearby departments responded promptly to the scene, working diligently to contain the fire. Their efforts, along with assistance from local farmers who used their equipment to create firebreaks, were crucial in preventing further damage.
