The Champaign County Republican Party has recently elected a new chairman following the conclusion of the May primary election.

The following information is from a press release issued by the Champaign County Republican Party:

“The Champaign County Republican Party Executive Committee officially elected Taylor Armstrong as its next Chairman, effective as of May 14, with former Saint Paris Mayor Joe Braden continuing to serve as Vice-Chairman. He succeeds Rob Pollock, who stepped down at the conclusion of the Primary Election on May 5 after ten years at the helm.

Armstrong previously served as President of the Champaign County Republican Club and the local GOP’s Finance Chairman with prior experience as Campaign Manager for State Representative Tim Barhorst (R-Ft. Loramie) and a stint as Chairman of the Ohio College Republican Federation.

“The Champaign County Republican Party has a long history of producing and supporting candidates & elected officials that serve our county, state, and nation with distinction,” Armstrong said. “My job is to ensure that legacy endures and Champaign County remains in the fight to defend our values that define our party and Western Ohio.”

The Champaign County Republican Party also moved to formally endorse all Republican candidates on the 2026 General Election ballot in November as work begins to increase voter engagement and turnout for this cycle.”
