A 2-year-old girl who was reported missing Thursday afternoon has been found safe, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the incident began shortly after 3:00 p.m. when a Huntsville mother called 911 to report that her two young children had been playing in the backyard of their home on Rude Street.
When she checked on them, she was only able to locate one child, and the other had already been missing for approximately 20 minutes.
Law enforcement agencies quickly responded and began searching the surrounding area.
The child was located safe and sound shortly after 4:00 p.m.
She was evaluated by medics and found to be well.
Additional details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
