Tourism continued to be a major economic driver in Logan County last year, generating $221.1 million in total economic impact, according to the latest County Economic Impact Report from Tourism Economics.
The report found that visitors spent $133.3 million directly in Logan County during 2025, supporting local businesses, jobs, wages, and tax revenues across the county.
“These numbers help tell the bigger story of tourism in Logan County,” said Logan County Visitors Bureau Director Jamison Thornton. “Tourism supports small businesses, strengthens local jobs, generates tax revenue, and brings outside dollars into the community. It is not just about attracting visitors. It is about building value for the people who live and work here.”
According to the report, visitor spending supported 2,377 jobs in Logan County, including 1,664 direct jobs and 714 indirect and induced jobs.
Tourism-related employment accounted for 8.9 percent of all jobs in the county, meaning nearly one in 11 local jobs was supported by visitor spending.
Tourism also generated $45.2 million in total labor income, including $26 million in direct household income, benefiting workers in industries such as lodging, restaurants, retail, recreation, transportation, and business services.
The report also highlighted tourism’s impact on public finances.
Visitor activity generated $27.1 million in total tax revenue, including $13.4 million in state and local taxes and $5.7 million in local tax revenue alone.
Researchers estimate that each Logan County household would have needed to pay an additional $686 in taxes to offset the state and local tax revenue generated by visitors.
Thornton said the numbers show tourism benefits the entire community by supporting small businesses, creating jobs, bringing outside dollars into the local economy, and helping reduce the local tax burden.
The report also found direct visitor spending in Logan County increased 2.6 percent from 2024 to 2025.
