A two-vehicle crash occurred Thursday afternoon at the intersection of State Route 347 and County Road 144, resulting in one passenger being injured.
According to authorities, a 1997 Chevrolet S10 driven by Paul Arms, 66, of Urbana, was traveling northbound on County Road 144.
Meanwhile, a 2022 Toyota Corolla driven by Juan Castillo, 79, of Marysville, failed to yield at the stop sign at State Route 347 and County Road 144 intersection, colliding with the driver’s side of Arms’ vehicle.
The impact caused Marian Parra, 68, also of Marysville, a passenger in Castillo’s vehicle, to sustain injuries. She was promptly transported to Memorial Hospital in Marysville for medical treatment.
Castillo was cited for failing to stop at the stop sign.
Authorities have confirmed that both drivers wore seat belts at the time of the incident.
