A 35-year-old Urbana man was injured Saturday night after his vehicle ran through a stop sign and ended up in a soybean field.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the crash around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 5 and County Road 29.
Travis Chevalier was driving a 2018 Kia Optima east on County Road 29 when he failed to stop at the stop sign.
The vehicle continued across the roadway before coming to rest in a nearby soybean field.
Chevalier was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Mac-O-Chee EMS for suspected minor injuries.
The Kia was towed from the scene, and Chevalier was cited for failing to obey traffic control devices.
