Weekly United Way Tornado Relief Update

Since Wednesday, April 10, the United Way of Logan County’s team of caseworkers has met with 327 households who made appointments for direct assistance through the Indian lake Tornado Relief Fund.

$748,087.30 has been distributed to help 294 households (683 tornado victims).

33 cases are in process, awaiting decisions or verifications from applicants.

46 additional households are already scheduled for in-take, with additional appointments to be made available.

  • 144 Home Insurance Deductibles – $216,133.86
  • 111 Home Repairs – $197,145.52
  • 52 Rents for new or existing homes – $76,188.38
  • 34 Security Deposits for new homes – $53,868.33
  • 26 Down payments for New Autos – $47,686.53
  • 28 Auto Repairs – $34,363.91
  • 44 Auto Insurance Deductibles – $32,807.17
  • 18 Auto Loan payments – $17,030.55
  • 30 Mortgage payments – $23,216.99
  • 18 Hotel Stays – $11,745.44
  • 23 Utility Bills – $7,012.54
  • 5 Student / Youth Participation Fees – $1,117.46
  • 7 Pet Cares – $1,350.37
  • 5 Prescription Medications – $682.50
  • 40 Other items, such as storage, moving expenses, generators, etc. – $27,737.75
