West Mansfield to host 4th of July Celebration

West Mansfield is hosting a 4th of July Celebration with a full day of activities planned on Independence Day.

Firecracker 5K Registration starts at 7:30 am. The race begins at 8:30 am. Awards for top female and top male overall and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each male/female age category. Post-race water and fruit, and door prizes will be provided.

A pancake and sausage breakfast will be served by the Boy Scouts in the clubhouse from 8:00 am to 10:30 am.

The parade is at noon. The line-up will be at Lion’s Park at 11:40 am. The parade ends at the West Mansfield Conservation Club.

A silent auction will be in the clubhouse from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Bosch tool set, Marathon gas card, gravel, Michael Kohr’s purses, baked goods, and more items coming in daily will be auctioned off.

There will be a West Mansfield Conservation Club table in the clubhouse from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Membership sales cost $40 a year. There will also be gun raffle ticket sales for the 52-week gun raffle, trap shoot information, and 50/50 tickets.

A Cake Walk will take place in the clubhouse from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. It costs $.25 per round to play.

The Kid’s Fishing Clinic is a free event that will occur out on the lawn. Fifty fishing poles and prizes will be given away.

Bounce houses will be open to anyone.

There will also be adult softball games, craft vendors on the lawn, and face painting.

Food Trucks such as Taco Bout, Mother Truckin Tasty, Smokin Bandits, C&E Smoothies, Freyhof Funnel Cakes, Where There’s Smoke, Charlie’s Kettle Corn, and Lemonade Man will be open. There will be snow cones and an open concession stand as well.

Kids’ games are free, and they start out on the lawn after the Cake Walk.

Boards for a Cornhole Tournament, provided by J&R Cornhole, open at 3:00 pm. The contest starts at 5 pm, and there will be a $10 fee to enter.

There will be an Archery Trailer, as well as music in the gazebo provided by Keith and DJ Mathys.

Fireworks will begin at dusk.
