WL-S, Triad seniors gear up for Sunday’s commencements

Graduation season continues across Champaign County as seniors at both West Liberty-Salem High School and Triad High School prepare to celebrate the Class of 2026.

West Liberty-Salem High School will hold its commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 24, at 7 p.m. inside the high school gymnasium.

School officials say graduates should arrive by 6 p.m. and report to the cafetorium. Doors for family and guests will also open at 6 p.m.

There is no limit on guest attendance, with both bleacher and floor seating available for the ceremony.

Then for Triad, Leading up to graduation day, seniors will take part in several activities on May 22, including Senior Awards at 9 a.m., a Senior Cookout at 11 a.m., and graduation rehearsal beginning at noon.

The district will celebrate its Class of 2026 with commencement ceremonies scheduled from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the school’s athletic facility.

School officials say the ceremony location could be moved to the gymnasium depending on weather conditions.

Both districts say they look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026’s accomplishments with family and friends.
