Local ball team finishes 2nd in Dayton tournament

Logan County 14u baseball team finished in 2nd place at the Charles Hunnell Memorial Tournament in Dayton over the weekend.

The team went 2-0 Saturday in pool play beating the Canes 12-3 and Dayton Ducks 4-3.

The team was the second seed going into bracket play Sunday.

They held off the 14u Bandits 14-2. Tyler Tidwell took the win on the mound. Jaxon Snipes went 2-3 hitting.

Then they snatched the 2nd game beating Ohio Redhawks 9-6 with Cooper Crouch as the winning pitcher. Carson Vesey and Sutton Daring had multiple hits.

The LoCo team fell behind early in the championship game losing 10-2 vs. the Ohio Spikes. Tidwell took the loss and had 1 hit and Brady Golliday had one hit.
