Several area golf teams were in action Thursday, with Bellefontaine earning a boys’ victory and Indian Lake picking up a girls’ win.
Boys Golf – Bellefontaine 177, Urbana 215
The Bellefontaine Chieftains picked up a decisive CBC victory Thursday evening at Urbana Country Club, defeating Urbana 177-215.
Ean Fultz and Noah Smith shared co-medalist honors for Bellefontaine, each shooting a team-low 43. Hudson Banta added a 45, followed by Sammy Strayer with a 46 and Keaton Dinovo with a 47. Colson Garver rounded out the Chieftain lineup with a 51.
Urbana was led by Kelton McClain with a 50. Keegan Reisinger and Nolan Smith each shot 54, while Brant Markin carded a 57. Jackson Stacy finished with a 63 and Lyle Rice shot a 75.
Girls Golf – Indian Lake 230, Graham 239
The Indian Lake Lady Lakers traveled to Lakeland Golf Club, home of the Graham Falcons, Thursday and came away with a hard-fought 230-239 victory.
Lily Michael led the Lakers with a 53, followed by Adriana Andrus with a 54.
The Lady Lakers return to action Tuesday at Locust Hills Golf Course for the CBC Tournament. Tee time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
