Bellefontaine falls to St. Marys; Riverside JV dominates Northridge

The Bellefontaine Varsity Chieftains lost to St. Marys 5-4 Thursday night.

After trailing by four runs in the second inning, Bellefontaine fought back to tie the game in the fourth.

Kassi Prine led Bellefontaine with 2 hits and 3 RBIs, going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Ava Dolan pitched 3.1 innings of relief, giving up 2 hits, 1 run, and striking out 2 batters.

Prine started the game and gave up 6 hits and 4 runs in 2 innings while striking out 3 and walking 1.

Bellefontaine’s defense played well, turning 2 double plays and committing no errors.

Ava Watson made 5 plays in the field.

Bellefontaine will play at home against Graham on Friday.

The Riverside Lady Pirates JV Softball team won 24-1 at Northridge Thursday night.

Molly Carman pitched a great game, striking out 8 batters, and also had an outstanding night at the plate.

Carman went 3-for-4, with a triple, 2 doubles, and 3 RBIs.

Kenzie Stotler hit a triple and had an RBI, and Kenna Johnson drove in 4 RBIs.

Adalynn Calloway had a double in the game.

Chloe Purtee was solid behind the plate, catching 3 runners stealing.
