It was a back-and-forth battle into the final minutes of the game, but Indian Lake Lady Lakers lost to Graham on Monday night 5-4.
Callie Burba had two goals for the Lakers.
Kaitlyn Shaner had one goal and one assist.
Harly Kinninger scored and Olivia Hurley added two assists.
Riley Shaner had 12 saves in goal.
On Senior Night the Chiefs boys unfortunately came up short in a thrilling match against the Cougars 5-0.
The Chieftains played a well-rounded game but were unable to capitalize on their opportunities and find the back of the net.
Nevertheless, the Chiefs will be back in action this Thursday night against Jonathan Alder
Bellefontaine Lady Chiefs lost to Kenton Ridge Monday night at AcuSport Stadium 4-1.
Offensively the Chiefs couldn’t get goals to fall Monday and needed to pull a lot more shots to hang with Kenton Ridge offensively.
The score was 1-0 a halftime and the game was very competitive.
The Chiefs were able to put a goal in off of a corner kick from Parker Penhorwood to Carrisse Comstock, making the game 1-1.
Kenton Ridge would score again shortly after and not look back.
The bright spot for the Chiefs was Lexi Robinson.
Lexi broke the career saves record for Bellefontaine High School’s soccer program.
” I am very proud of her and glad I got to be a part of her playing career for the Chiefs,” said coach Shumaker.
The Lady Chiefs are back in action Thursday night at home against Johnathan Alder.
The West Liberty-Salem JV boys’ soccer team tied Troy Christian Monday evening 0-0.
Hunter Little and Kyler Landhardt earned the credit by saving a total of 9 shots.
Little saved 7 while Langhardt saved 2.
The entire team defended well to get a solid result.
The team plays next Monday at Kenton at 5:15 p.m.
