Bellefontaine travels to the Galion Invitational on Saturday.
“We saw some good and bad to start the season, but overall, we were encouraged by our results Saturday,” said BHS head coach Aaron LaBatt. “We worked at building the field of teams back up this year. It was solid competition, so for us to finish fourth was good to see. We have plenty to work on, but it was a good start for the young group we have.”
“Individually, Wes came to wrestle and was very focused and determined,” said LaBatt. “He needs to keep that mindset all year. Jeffery, Jared, and Zavier all wrestled well. Zane lost to two high-level kids, but we felt he wrestled well in those. We were also excited to see Isaiah Roberts, Justin Robinson, and Conor Evans get wins.”
