The Benjamin Logan eighth-grade football team rang the victory bell Thursday night with a dominant 44-0 win over visiting Shawnee.
The Raiders’ defense forced three turnovers, including two interceptions that were each returned 35 yards for touchdowns. Carter Crumm and Bexley Ruble each recorded an interception return for a score, while Ruble also recovered a fumble.
Bryson Greiner led the Raiders with five tackles. Jayvin Furrow added three tackles, while Marshall Elliott and Bentley Lewis each recorded two tackles and a quarterback sack.
Benjamin Logan’s rushing attack was led by Crumm, who finished with 145 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. Brayden Ramos added 35 yards and a touchdown on three carries, while Jeremiah Schneider rushed for 25 yards on two carries.
Through the air, Archer Stratton hauled in three passes for 32 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown pass from Gavin Creamer.
The Raiders will hit the road next week to take on the North Union Wildcats.
