Benjamin Logan soccer splits Saturday matchups with Brookville

The Benjamin Logan soccer teams split a pair of road matches at Brookville Saturday, with the boys rallying for a 2-1 victory while the girls fell by the same score.

Benjamin Logan 2, Brookville 1 (boys)

The Benjamin Logan boys varsity soccer team picked up a 2-1 road victory over Brookville Saturday, improving to 2-2-2 on the season.

The Raiders trailed 1-0 at halftime before Cason Lacher tied the match with about 20 minutes remaining, poking in a long throw-in from Bode Clapsaddle.

Ten minutes later, Isaac Skidmore headed in an assist from Xavier Allen for the game-winning goal.

Gavin Jordan and Carter Phillips combined for six saves in goal to secure the win for Benjamin Logan.

The Raiders will return to action Wednesday night when they host Graham.

Brookville 2, Benjamin Logan 1 (girls)

The Benjamin Logan girls varsity soccer team fell to Brookville 2-1 Saturday, dropping to 3-2-0 on the season.

Brookville took a 1-0 lead into halftime and extended the advantage to 2-0 in the second half.

Brooklyn Smedley got the Raiders on the board after connecting on an Ella Stoodt throw-in to cut the deficit to 2-1.

Benjamin Logan was unable to find the equalizer as Brookville held on for the win. The Devils improve to 6-1 on the season.

The Raiders will host Graham Wednesday night.
