The Benjamin Logan Middle School Cross Country teams competed at the Triad Invitational on Saturday.
The girls’ team came home with first place, out of five schools.
Gwen Smith led the Raiders placing 3rd of 19 runners. She was followed by Lottie Bodin in 6th.
Rounding out the scoring was Cielo Wilcox 11th, Montana Coleman 12th, and Mallory Chapman 13th.
Also running for the Raiders were Mia Ortiz and Illy Vermillion.
The girls recorded several personal records in the meet.
The boys placed second of 6 teams.
Greyson Butler led the team placing 11th of 20 runners. He was followed by Michael Berry 12th.
Completing the scoring were Roman Williams, Logan Watkins, Miles Grandbois, and Exra Ramsey.
The teams are back in action Saturday at the Graham Invitational.
The Bellefontaine Middle School girls’ cross country team placed 5th in a very competitive field at the Minster Classic on Saturday.
The top 30 awards went to Sloan Stolly, Cameo Greene, and Chloe O’Chocke.
Cameo Greene continues to show outstanding improvement each race running her personal best time for the 4th race in a row.
Chloe O’Chocke also ran a personal best time and Camila-Cely Hernandez, Allie Myers, and Blakely Vollrath all stepped up with season or personal best times and significantly closed the gap toward our 4th runner.

The boys raced to a second-place finish at the Minster Classic on Saturday.
Landon Rister had a breakout race finishing in 7th place overall with a PR time of 12:04.
Caleb Sechrest and Liam Scott also brought home individual awards finishing in 16th and 17th place.
Liam Scott stepped up with a personal best time for the 3rd race in a row.

The West Liberty-Salem Big Orange Middle School cross country team competed Saturday at the Cedarville Friendship Invitational.
The boy’s team was in 1st place out of 16 teams.
