The Indian Lake varsity boys basketball team lost in a tight contest Saturday to Triway at the Battle at Berkey Tournament in Smithville.
The teams were evenly matched, but there were times when the Titans couldn’t miss.
Caiden Nicol led the Lake with 23 points, while Brodey Reisinger followed up with 22.
Final score 77-72.
The Lakers play next on Tuesday at home against Urbana.
The Varsity Spartans checkmated the CHESS Royals Saturday by a score of 50-38.
Wyatt Schlatter led the team posting a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
He also had 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.
Luke Gaertner contributed with 10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist.
Philip Davie added 9 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 assist.
Zeeke Wylie and Evan Patton each scored 6 points apiece.
Wylie had 4 rebounds and Patton had 4 assists and 2 steals.
The win brings their overall record to 10-4 and 9-0 in the OVCC. T
hey are back on the road Tuesday to play a conference game against Dayton Temple.
