Bellefontaine Chieftians:
The Bellefontaine High School Girls Cross Country team made a strong showing at the Anna Rocket Invitational, finishing 10th out of 24 competing teams.
Senior Grace Brown led the way with an impressive time of 18:43, clinching first place among 202 runners.
Other notable performances included Kailyn Newman, who placed 27th, and Cece Reier, who finished 68th.
Coach praised the team’s effort, especially Brianne Sechrest’s return from a knee injury.
The Raiders are now gearing up for the CBC meet at Graham next Saturday.
The boys’ team also performed well, securing 4th place out of 21 teams.
Hayden Maus finished 2nd overall with a time of 16:12, followed by Jake Moreland in 13th.
The team celebrated five personal records, showcasing their readiness for the postseason.
West Liberty-Salem Tigers:
The West Liberty-Salem Girls Cross Country team took 2nd at the Coldwater Invitational, led by Malia Miller’s 2nd place finish out of 217 runners with a time of 19:11.
The boys’ team won the same meet, with Caleb Larson finishing 4th and Asher Knox achieving a personal record in 5th.
The teams will next compete at the Ohio Heritage Championship meet hosted at Cedarville.
Indian Lake Lakers:
The ILHS Lakers participated in the Anna Invitational, with standout performances from Reagan Rash, who placed 6th, and Evie Wagner, who finished 48th.
The Lakers are set to compete at Graham next week for the CBC Championships.
