Calvary Christian Middle School had a strong showing at the Buckeye Conference Track Meet, with the girls’ team taking first place overall and the boys team finishing runner-up.
Several athletes delivered standout performances, highlighted by multiple individual wins and record-breaking efforts.
On the girls side, Ella Miller won the 800 meters in 2:36, setting a new meet record. Natalie Noriega also earned first-place finishes in both the shot put and discus, leading Calvary’s field events.
Another historic performance came from Nevaeh Davis, who finished second in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:27, breaking the previous record by 10 seconds while recording the program’s fastest girls’ 1600 time at the CBC Meet this season.
Evening White also earned a runner-up finish in the 400 meters with a time of 1:07.
Additional podium finishes included Piper Slemmons taking third in the 100 hurdles (20.9), Marissa Ramirez placing third in the 1600 meters (5:51), Miguel DePinto earning third in the 400 meters (1:07), and Richie Eckard finishing third in the 400 meters (1:08).
For the boys, Josiah Plikerd captured first place in the 100 meters with a time of 12.93, while Reece McCarty won the 1600 meters in 5:23. Landon Rolfes added strong performances in multiple events, competing in the 110 hurdles (21.99), 200 meters (34.58), and 200 hurdles (34.58).
Several athletes also contributed valuable points with fourth-place finishes, including Liliana Phillips in the 100 meters (14.50), Elizabeth Ledley in the 100 meters (14.61), Peyton Eckard in the 400 meters (1:11), Piper Slemmons in the 200 hurdles (37.91), Adam Adlesberger in the 800 meters (2:58), Josiah Plikerd in the 200 meters (27.57), and Lane Joliff in the 200 meters (29.66). Both the boys and girls 4×200 relay teams also finished fourth overall.
Other notable performances included Felix Dudenofer placing sixth in the 1600 meters (6:13), Elizabeth Ledley finishing seventh in the 200 meters (30.93), Olivia Wolf taking seventh in the 800 meters (3:31), Luke Cronkleton placing eighth in the 100 meters (15.67), and Evening White earning eighth in the 200 meters (31.24).
Both relay squads also made an impact. The boys 4×400 relay team set a new record with a time of 4:17, while the girls 4×400 relay team included Nevaeh Davis, Marissa Ramirez, Peyton Eckard, and Ella Miller. The boys 4×800 relay team featured Richie Eckard, Nate, Richie, and Adam Adlesberger, and the girls 4×800 relay team consisted of Elizabeth Ledley, Evening White, Olivia Wolf, and Sarah.
Calvary’s strong overall performance secured the girls team championship and a second-place finish for the boys at the conference meet.
