The Bellefontaine boys golf team picked up a convincing victory over Urbana Wednesday at Liberty Hills, while the Lady Chieftains earned a win over Urbana and narrowly fell to London in a tri-match.
Bellefontaine 173, Urbana 212 – Boys
Bellefontaine defeated visiting Urbana 173-212 Wednesday at Liberty Hills Golf Course.
Noah Smith earned match medalist honors with the low round of the day, carding a 42. Hudson Banta followed with a 43, while Ean Fultz and Keaton Dinovo each shot 44 to complete the Chieftains’ team scoring.
Sammy Strayer and Tyler Rossey both finished with rounds of 48.
Smith finished as the match medalist with his 42, while Banta posted a 43 and Fultz and Dinovo each recorded 44s.
For the Bellefontaine JV, Colson Garver shot a 47, Christian Sterling finished with a 50 and Beckett Kessler carded a 62.
Bellefontaine 213, Urbana 234 – Girls
The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains defeated Urbana 213-234 in the first half of Wednesday’s tri-match.
Ella Fultz led Bellefontaine with a 51, followed by Olivia Dearwester with a 53. Lola Kuba carded a 54, while Paxton Stewart finished with a 55 to round out the team score.
London 205, Bellefontaine 213 – Girls
Bellefontaine then faced London in another close matchup, with the Lady Chieftains falling 205-213.
Despite the loss, Bellefontaine finished the tri-match with a split, earning a victory over Urbana.
The Lady Chiefs will return to action when they travel to National Road Golf Course to take on Northeastern.
The Indian Lake Lady Lakers also picked up a victory Wednesday, defeating Graham at home 199-231.
Indian Lake 199, Graham 231 – Girls
The Lady Lakers defeated Graham 199-231 Wednesday night.
Lily Michael and Adriana Andrus led Indian Lake with matching rounds of 48. Chloe Borgerding followed with a 51, while Terra Beltz finished with a 52 to round out the team scoring.
The Lady Lakers will return to action Thursday night at Lakeland, with tee time scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
