Chieftain Swim Team Starts Season Strong

The Chieftain swim team kicked off their season at the Bellbrook Sprint Invite, with strong performances despite being short on swimmers. The boys’ team finished 2nd, while the girls placed 4th out of 8 teams. The team also recorded 24 personal bests (PRs).

Boys’ Results:

  • 200 Medley Relay: 3rd place (Ryan Alexander, Cody Hudson, Elias Abrego, Grady Feasel)
  • 200 Free Relay: 2nd place (Ryan Alexander, Cody Hudson, Blaine Mitchell, Elias Abrego)
  • Elias Abrego: 18 points, 1st place in 50 Free & 50 Fly (PR)
  • Cody Hudson: 10 points, 3rd place in 100 IM, 5th place in 50 Breast (PR)
  • Ryan Alexander: 3 points, 10th place in 50 Back, 11th place in 50 Free
  • Grady Feasel: 3 points, 9th place in 50 Fly (PR), 11th place in 50 Back (PR)

Girls’ Results:

  • 200 Medley Relay: 5th place (Kaidi Freeman, Elaina Ullom, Kaeleigh Flora, Gillian Steele)
  • 200 Free Relay: 4th place (Elaina Ullom, Gillian Steele, Maddie Ullom, Kaeleigh Flora)
  • Maddie Ullom: 9 points, 3rd place in 50 Back (PR), 7th place in 100 IM
  • Kaeleigh Flora: 8 points, 5th place in 100 IM, 8th place in 50 Free
  • Elaina Ullom: 6 points, 4th place in 50 Breast, 10th place in 50 Free
  • Claire McDaniel: 2.5 points, 7th place in 50 Breast
  • Kaidi Freeman: 2 points, 7th place in 50 Back

The team showed strong performances and continued to focus on improving throughout the meet.
