DeGraff Little League is bringing home the championship after holding off a late comeback by Rockets Little League for a thrilling 10-9 victory at Lewis Ratleff Park.
DeGraff wasted no time taking control of the game, using big first and second innings to build an early lead. The Rockets battled back and made things interesting late, but DeGraff held on through the final out to secure the title.
Cade Hoylman led the offensive attack with a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate. Josh Crawford also had a big day, collecting three hits and driving in two runs while contributing defensively. Brantley Herron added two hits, and Mattox Stotler finished with two RBIs while striking out eight batters over four strong innings on the mound.
DeGraff’s aggressive baserunning played a major role in the win, as the team stole 14 bases. The offense also showed patience by drawing eight walks.
Defensively, DeGraff turned in a flawless performance, committing no errors and turning a double play to help preserve the victory.
