Bellefontaine 2, Graham 1 (boys)
The Bellefontaine boys soccer team rallied from an early deficit to defeat Graham 2-1 Wednesday night.
Graham opened the scoring with 35 minutes remaining in the first half. Bellefontaine answered with 17 minutes left in the half when Landon Cook converted a penalty kick to tie the match.
The Chieftains took the lead with 13 minutes remaining in the half on a goal from Ethan Turner, making it 2-1.
Bellefontaine’s defense held Graham scoreless the rest of the way, with goalkeeper Noah Torsell coming up with a strong performance to preserve the victory.
The Chieftains improve to 3-3-2 overall and 3-2 in CBC play.
Bellefontaine will return to action Saturday at River Valley, with the varsity match scheduled for 11:15 a.m. and JV at 9:30 a.m.
Urbana 4, Indian Lake 0 (girls)
The Urbana girls soccer team defeated Indian Lake 4-0 Wednesday night.
Olivia Mackendrick, Cara Mowrey, Lola Rice and Zaylor Rogan each scored a goal for the Hillclimbers.
Mowrey also recorded an assist, while Urbana goalkeeper Avery Zinkhon made one save to earn the shutout.
Indian Lake goalkeeper Izzi Mackesy finished with 13 saves in the loss. The Lakers recorded three shots on goal, with Rya Pequignot and Brylee Roseburrough each registering a shot on target.
The game also served as Senior Night for Indian Lake seniors Hailey Prater and Alaina Hershberger.
