High Point Soccer: Calvary Green Kicks Out Urbana

In the High Point County soccer tournament semi-final game Thursday night at McKinley Fields, Calvary Green defeated Urbana 2-0 to clinch a spot in the Championship Game.

The Spartans jumped out to an early lead in the first half when Aiden Keller placed a corner kick inside the goal box and it was headed in by Anderson Konz.

Seth Palmer scored from the left side on a well-placed shot.

Brody Prall recorded 10 saves in the shutout.

Lydia Davie, Xavier Church, and Annagail Lambert handled their duties at mid-field while Elijah Navarro played a solid defensive game.

Caleb Gantz, Reagan Roell, Gavin Householder, and Alton Tighe held tight on the defensive line against a disciplined Urbana team.

The Spartans move to 12-0 on the season.

Aiden Keller earned the Team Toughness Award for winning numerous possession battles at midfield.
