Lakers fall to Miami East

Indian Lake battled the #1 seed Miami East Friday night at Vandalia, but the Vikings were able to hold off the Lakers 60-51.

The first half featured an IL six-point lead at 13-7 before Miami East rattled off 11 straight to end the first quarter.

Indian Lake would move ahead 28-27 in the second quarter, but again Miami East would end the half on a 6-0 spurt and lead 33-28.

The Lakers would hit the first bucket of the third quarter before Miami East turned up the heat and outscored IL 13-7 taking a 46-35 lead.

Miami East would hit free throws in the fourth quarter and stave off a Lakers rally for the victory.

Miami East was led by Wes Enis who poured in a game-high 31 points.  Jacob Noeth added 17.

Camdon Tuttle had a huge night for Indian Lake scoring 27 points (six three-pointers).  Caiden Nicol chipped in with 12.

Indian Lake will finish the season (13-12) with a Mad River Division Title and two more tournament victories.

Isaac Morrison is the lone senior on the squad.
