Congratulations to West-Liberty-Salem first grader Maverick Lowe, who competed at Ohio’s state wrestling championships over the weekend and brought home a gold medal.
Maverick is in Mrs. Spring’s class, and his classmates cheered for him throughout the competition.
Mrs. Spring said, “We couldn’t be more proud of his hard work and dedication!”
Maverick won the 6U 65 lbs category.
He is the son of Michael and Jessie Lowe of West Liberty.
