Indian Lake 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Kenton Ridge 34-13.

The Lakers were led by Brylee Buyer with 10 points, Bre Wisener had 6 points and 6 steals, Rya Pequignot scored 6 points, Olivia Kinney had 5 points, 10 steals, and 6 assists, and Madison Davis scored 5 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.

The 7th grade girls basketball team fell to Kenton Ridge 39-22.

Laura Metzger scored 11 points and Kyler Carruthers had 9 points.

The Middle School girls are back in action on Wednesday at home versus Graham.

The 7th grade will start at 5:30.

 

The Indian Lake 8th-grade boys basketball team fell to Kenton Ridge Monday night, 36-26.

Leading the lake was Braden Tussing scoring 8 points, and Reed Strayer and Grant Wickline added 5 points each.

The 7th grade boys basketball team defeated Northridge 36-23.

Lead scorers for the Lakers were Rush Hurley netting 19 points,  Alex Tussing added 9, and Nixon Lillard scored 6 points.

Monday night, the Bellefontaine 7th grade boys basketball team fell to Springfield Shawnee 28-29.

Leading the Chiefs was Tyrin Johnson netting 16 points.

The 8th-grade team knocked off the Braves, 38-23.

Reign St.Clair led the Chiefs with 10 points, Trey Deyo added 7, Grady Graham & Tyler Rossey netted 6, and Sam Jenkins added 4 points.

Jamere Anderson-Ward & Nolan Slaybackboth chipped in for the Chiefs with Rebounds & points.

 

The 7th grade Lady Chiefs used a strong first half to beat Springfield Shawnee 28-18 in Monday night action.

The Chiefs used balanced scoring to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Leading the way with 10 points was Lexey Brown.

Paxton Stewart and Cameo Greene each scored 5 points apiece.

Rylee Crabtree added 4 points, with 3 assists, and hauled in 3 rebounds on the night while Mia Brown scored 2 points and led the team with 7 rebounds and 5 steals.

The 7th grade Lady Chiefs will travel to North Union for a 10 AM tip-off on Saturday morning.

Lady Chiefs were scrappy and played hard, just ran out of gas in the final minutes to come up short.

Leading the way for the Chiefs was Ava Oppy netting 8 points and 5 rebounds, Tabby Thomas added 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals, Joy Fogan netted 2 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, Sloan Stolly had 2 assists and Amari Hunsicker had 3 steals.

 

Urbana’s 8th grade boys basketball team defeated Tecumseh 48-31.  Leading the Hillclibers was Drew Dixon and Roman Swain netting 14 points each.

The 7th grade team also defeated Tecumseh 38-25. Carter Houseman scored 11 points and Mekhi Peterson added 8 points.

 

Saturday morning the Calvary Christian Jr. high girls basketball team lost in a close game to Dayton Temple 17-11.

Reagan Roell led Calvary with 8 points and Eden LeCrone added 3.

Destiny Mathys dominated on the boards with 11 rebounds.

 

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade boy’s basketball team won against Mechanicsburg 38-21.

Leading the Tigers:

  • Brandel Sullivan: 29 points
  • Rylan Leichty: 4 points
  • Nate Shivley: 4 points
  • Isaiah Barth: 2 points
  • Logan Behlmer: 1 point

The 8th grade boy’s basketball team also won against Mechanicsburg 56-19.

For West Liberty-Salem:
