The West Liberty-Salem 8th Grade Boys Basketball team won a tight game against Northeastern, 39-33.

Brandel Sullivan led the Tigers with 21 points, followed by Rylan Leichty with 9 points.

The Tigers will play Mechanicsburg on Saturday, January 25, following the 7th-grade game, which starts at 5:30 p.m.

The 7th-grade girls team defeated Northeastern 24-21 to improve their record to 12-0.

Lilly Yeater led the team with 9 points, while Rylee Falloon added 6 points.

The girls will host Mechanicsburg on Saturday, January 25, at 10:30 a.m.

The 8th Grade Girls Basketball team lost to Northeastern 35-32, bringing their record to 8-6.

The girls will host their first OHC tournament game on Thursday, January 30, starting at 6:30 p.m.

 

In 7th Grade Boys action, Kenton Ridge defeated Bellefontaine 39-20.

In the 8th Grade Boys game, Kenton Ridge also won 37-33.

Tyrin Johnson led Bellefontaine with 19 points.

The 7th Grade Lady Chiefs defeated Kenton Ridge 27-22, thanks to a strong first half.

Gianna Davis led the Chiefs with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Kennedy Hairston added 5 points and 10 rebounds.

The team has now won 6 straight games and improved to 9-4 on the season.

They will play Jonathan Alder at home on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

The 8th Grade Lady Chiefs won 35-15 over Kenton Ridge.

Mia Brown led with 13 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists.

Lexey Brown added 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals.

The Lady Chiefs improved to 9-3 and will play Jonathan Alder on Monday at home.

 

The Riverside 7th Grade Boys team won 41-36 against Lehman Catholic.

Burchett led Riverside with 21 points, and Harshbarger added 11.

The 8th Grade Boys team lost to Lehman Catholic 57-6.

 

The Indian Lake 8th Grade girls team lost to Jonathan Alder 41-24.

Kyler Carruthers led the team with 12 points.

Laura Metzger added 6 points and 4 assists, while Audra Harford contributed 4 points and 6 rebounds.

The 7th-grade girls team also lost to Jonathan Alder 30-18.

Addison Heading scored 6 points, and Abby Bihn added 5 points.
